Urad dal                                          1/4 cup
Moong dal                                      1/4 cup
Oil                                                     For greasing

Green chilies                                3-4

Cheese                                            50 gms approx.
Baking powder                             1 Tsp
Clean, wash and soak rice, urad dal and moong dal seperately for 3-4 hours. Drain and blend seperately rice and dal, add water as per need while grinding.83b6db2a-d51a-4dbd-a854-4cb41d1727fd

Mix rice and dal together in a large bowl, cover and keep aside for fermentation 6-7 hours. Before making the appe add chopped onion, green chilies, coriander,

Tikki Burger- A fusion snack recipe that combines Indian traditional chaat and Western fast food. Aloo tikki is most popular snack or street food, but I have made veggie Burger. Very simple reason for this, it’s healthy and full of nutritious. I have always tried different types of burgers using vegetables. A one version for you. It’s moist, super crispy from outside and soft inside. I would like to grill it in oven or shallow fry on pan instead of deep frying and it’s come out pretty. It’s always better option for calorie conscious person. Kids just love it a lot. Do try…..

Burger buns.                          4
American cheese slices.     8
Tomatoes.                              2
White onion.                           1

Lettuce leaves.                       4
Salt.                                          As per taste
Oil.                                           For shallow fry
Cornflakes.                            1/4 cup
Breadcrumbs.                        1 cup
Cauliflower chopped.            1/2 cup
Green peas.                             1/4 cup
Spinach leaves.                       5-6
Garlic butter
Pepper powder                        1 tsp
Green chilies.                          4
Powder the cornflakes and keep in a bowl. Add finely chopped cauliflower, smashed boiled potato, half crushed green peas,chopped onion, crushed green chilies,finely chopped spinach leaves, salt and pepper powder. Mix all these ingredients and keep aside for 5-10 min.

To prepare bread crumbs,

remove the corners I.e. brown part of the bread and powered it in a mixie. Homemade instant bread crumbs are ready. Set aside in a plate.

Now make patty of the above mixture and coat it with breadcrumbs.


Shallow fry all the patties on simmer, use few drops of oil. Make all patties crisp and golden brown in both the sides.

Arrange the Burger
Take the Burger bun and slit into two rounds. Apply butter and toast in pan.

Place lettuce n celery on the bun. Keep the Patty.

Place cheese slice on it.On the second portion of the bun apply mayonnaise with some sauce, as per your choice. Adjust the quantity of  mayonnaise as per your taste. I am not placing lettuce or celery because my son doesn’t like it

There nothing better than biting into that first slice of fresh, hot, homemade pizza.

Pizza can be made various toppings and styles.

Pizza made with homemade dough and Mozzarella cheese is extremely tasty and worthy of efforts you put to make one.
For those who want to learn , how to make pizza dough at home, I have for you an easy pizza dough recipe that has never failed.

I have made this pizza so many times, as my husband and kids loves pizza.

This recipe works for both regular crust and thin crust pizza.

Step by step recipe for Veg. pizza. Except the cheese, no ready made sauces or pizza bread bases are used.
This is a basic veg. pizza .

I have used Tomato and Capsicum as the only veggies.You can use your own assorted veggies for the pizza toppings.

TOTAL TIME                                                2 HOURS 40 MIN.
SERVES                                                          3-4 MEDIUM SIZE PIZZA
The pizza base is made from maida/ all purpose flour. Wheat flour can be used too.
For the pizza bread base
All purpose flour                                  350 gms
Warm water                                           1/2 cup
Dry yeast                                                 3 Tsp
Sugar                                                        1/2 Tsp
Olive oil                                                   2 Tbsp
Salt                                                            1/2 Tsp
Take lukewarm water in a bowl, sprinkle sugar and yeast in it. Cover the bowl and set aside for 5 min.


Up to sieve the maida.
Now add salt , oil and yeast water in maida.

Knead the maida by hand or food processor until it gets smooth. (Use normal tap water).


I am using food processor with dough blade to make dough, You can make the dough by hand too. Make sure that the dough is very soft but non sticky , if needed add more water or if is too sticky add little more flour.

Grease the dough with olive oil, keep covered with cling film or kitchen towel, for about 2 hours in a warm area, for rising.
The dough should be double in size.

Meanwhile dough is rising, make the pizza sauce

I have made many pizza sauces, this is the one of them.

Tomatoes                                                                                        3 large
Garlic                                                                                               10 cloves
Dried basil                                                                                      2 Tsp
Dried oregano                                                                               2 Tsp
Freshly crushed black pepper                                                  1/2 Tsp
Onion                                                                                               1
Red chili powder                                                                           1/2 Tsp
Cornflour                                                                                         1 Tbsp
Blanch the tomatoes in enough water and peel the skin.


Pureed the Tomato with Onion and Garlic in a blender.


Heat the puree in a small pan, stirring occasionally for 5 min. Then add Red chili powder, Dry  oregano, Dry basil, Salt and pepper and mix well.

Add cornflour ( first mix cornflour in normal water) paste and stir it for 2-3 min.

Chili flakes
Cheddar cheese and Mozarella cheese                                As required
Chop the veggies in 1/2 inch square, deseed it( Remove the seeds of Capsicum and Tomato).

Assembling and baking pizza
Pre heat the oven for 10 min.

Slightly flatten the dough and divide it into equal dough balls.

Spread some pizza sauce on it.

Top it with some crumble cheddar cheese,


evenly sprinkle veggies over it, gently press the veggies.


Spread Grated Mozzarella cheese over it, quantity… by your choice.

Repeat same steps for make more pizza.

Place the PIZZA on greased baking tray, and bake it in preheated oven for 10 min. Or till the base is evenly browned and the cheese melts.

Prepare the eye catching and catching and tempting pin roll sandwich easily. Cut the bread roll and serve as packed lunch options for children.

Pinroll sandwiches are cute and they make fabulous finger foods.

They’re great with afternoon tea and delicious enough for cocktail parties.
As an add on bonus, these sandwiches are a perfect size for little fingers and are wonderful at kids parties. This is quick, easy and healthy recipe.

Wheat bread slices
Green chutney
Red chutney
Chat masala

Cheese slice
Keep things ready

Take wheat bread and remove all the edges.

Chop capsicum.


Grated carrot


Green coriander chutney


Red beetroot chutney


Take the bread slice arrange it….slightly keep edges one another, roll it down using rolling pin.


Apply butter on slices.

Apply green chutney on one slice, place cheese on another


red chutney on third last one

Put some shredded carrot on red chutney, spread evenly.


Also spread evenly some capsicum on green chutney.



Now gently but tightly roll all bread slices.


Take silver foil and roll it around the ready pinroll and keep it in refrigerator for 30 min.

Cut this pinroll into same sizes and serve as it is.


Or melt some butter on pan and make it crisp from all the sides.



Remove from pan cut into slices.
